Custom Manufactured (Project) Pumps Maintenance & Repair

KNF partners with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to produce specialized, Project pumps. Because these custom-manufactured Project pumps have been modified to match specific performance requirements, they are no longer "standard" KNF products and, therefore, are not listed on the KNF website. These custom Project pump model numbers often include the letters: MPU, PE, PF, PJ, PJM, PL, PM, PME, PMF, PML, PMM, and PU.


To obtain a replacement pump for your instrument:

KNF does not stock modified Project pumps for OEM instruments. It is recommended that you first try contacting the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for a complete replacement pump. If a replacement pump can not be provided by the OEM, please follow the instructions below. Also, please beware of substitute imitations which may damage your instrument, void a warranty, or increase risks to personal safety.

To request factory repair service for your instrument's pump:

Repair service may be available directly from KNF. To submit a request for pump repair click here, or read the instructions below. If necessary, KNF Customer Service can be reached by email, or phone: (609) 890-8600. If you reside outside the US, Canada, or Latin America please locate the KNF facility nearest you.

  1. All KNF product returns require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. You may request your RMA via our RMA web form.

  2. Alternatively, you may download RMA forms in (.doc or .pdf format). Fax completed form to: (609) 890-8323 or email to Be sure to include your phone number.

  3. A KNF Customer Service representative will review your RMA request and, if approved, provide you with Return Material Authorization (RMA) number, and shipping instructions.
